New patient information

You can make an appointment with me by emailing me at, or calling or texting me on 07986 758528.  You can also message me through my Facebook page.

I work on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Your first visit includes an acupuncture treatment, but is also my opportunity to find out about you so that I can get a good picture of your health.  This helps me to plan your future treatments.  I will ask you about your reasons for coming for acupuncture, as well as getting details about things like your sleep, diet, digestion, lifestyle and health history.

Before your treatment, I will look at your tongue and take your pulses.  The pulses change in response to the needles, so I take it a number of times each session.  I will also talk to you about what you can expect to happen during acupuncture treatments.  You are also welcome to ask me questions as we go along.

This first session lasts about 90 minutes, so please allow time for this. After this first session, treatments last up to one hour.

Please arrive on time, so that we can make the most of your treatment time.

It is best if you haven’t had a heavy meal close to your acupuncture appointment, but don’t arrive hungry either!

Loose clothing is best, so that I can get to the acupuncture points more easily.  It will also help you to relax if you are comfortable.

It is better not to do heavy exercise, drink alcohol, have a hot bath or do anything too stimulating after a treatment, to let the treatment have its best effect.

Most people say that they feel relaxed after a treatment, so it is nice not to have too much scheduled afterwards to disrupt this.  You may feel tired after a treatment; listen to your body and go with it.  If you feel energised, enjoy it, but don’t go and spend it all at once!

If possible, please give me 24 hours notice if you are unable to make an appointment.  If you just do not turn up for an appointment, you will be charged the full fee.

Please be assured that any information that you provide is confidential.

I charge £65 for the first session and £45 for subsequent treatments.

I take cash or cheque, or you can do a bank transfer.  If  you do chose to pay by bank transfer, please note that I will not be able to treat you again until you have paid me for your previous session.

If you wish to discuss whether acupuncture can help you, please do get in touch.
